Goose Creek Resort and Newport Moose Lodge have come together to raise cancer awareness in Carteret County. We need vendors and sponsors who would like to participate and teams who are interested in walking. All monies raised stay in Carteret County and help local families who are dealing with cancer. There will NOT be a rain date for this event - cancer does not have a rain date, so neither will we!!!

Congratulations go to our Administrator David Hall. He has been appointed as one of the two Deputy Supreme Governors for North Carolina.

On March 5th we held what we hope will be the first of an annual event. five pigs were cooked and plates were delivered all over the county and Havelock. We had several drive-up sales and a few that came into the lodge hall to eat. It was such a success that we sold out in just 3hrs. There is sure to be a much more detailed report in the April newsletter. Don't miss it.

Congratulations to Senior Regent, Christine Falls for receiving the North Carolina Novice Co-Worker of the Year at the State Convention in Greensboro on February 19th.

Christine got notice that she is one of the 5 Shining Star Nominees for Novice Co-Worker of the Year and will be going to Anaheim to represent Newport and North Carolina!!!!!!!

Christine didn't win the Shinning Star but she was very honored to represent Newport Chapter and to have been selected as one of the Top 5.
